New home ware from Anthropologie and Fishs Eddy

Inspiration for your home and kitchen

Since living in New York I started collecting affordable home and kitchen ware. There is a few places that are my favourites to go to and both of them are now also here in London.

My home ware collection from Anthropology

Fishs Eddy is one of them, they can now be found in Liberty, but has shops all over the US. My first shop visit was to the shop on Broadway, close to Union Square in New York. I use to think, that they were selling out kitchen ware from closed down restaurants, but reading about the company history, how the founders discovered a barn full of home ware in the US and seeing their range now, my view has changed. Now they are creating home ware with their own branding and colourfull prints, so I guess the big barn was a never ending inspiration source! The Fishs Eddy designs has a traditional US diner/restaurant feel, and what I love too, is that they have great size soup, salad and pasta bowls!

My second choice is the amazing Anthropology. They also offer affordable kitchen ware that takes you either back in time or on the other side of the world! Their shops are amazingly designed, and are all very inspiring to the entire home and your wardrobe! Prepare yourself, because you have to walk out with at least one thing! I took a few pictures of the shop on Regent Street in London, they have a growing real plant wall!

The real growing plant wall, how cool!

Shop front from Regent Street in the sunshine!

It's not unusual to have a real growing wall garden in London, but if I compare it to my garden, I much prefer my garden, where I can feel the grass under my feet!

Check out the Soho, New York Anthropology store if you are in New York, it was my first time to visit the brand, and I'm still a fan! They also sell on line!

Le Bon Marche in Paris

Another favourite shop of mine is Le Bon Marche in Paris

It's a fantastic highly creative luxury department store, and it's a great experience walking through. Besides looking at the amazing designer clothes, it's also great fun to admire the chic French Parisian women that shop there. French Parisian women do have a fantastic chic style!

I visited last week, when I was back in Paris for work, and the shop is now celebrating it's 160 year anniversary. I think it's amazing that a shop has existed that long and still manages to keep up with the high speed changes of the fashion and beauty world!

It still does have a great feeling of history and luxury, with it's clean White tile looking escalators and ceilings. I took a few pictures which also shows the creativity of the shop...

White tiles and a paper air balloon, I prefer the escalators...

Paper air plane, amazing idea how it looked 160 years ago...

It's for sure worth a visit end of the day, since they are open until 8 or 9pm.

On my way out I shopped quickly at their special anniversary shop and found some really nice metal painted plates...I also had to buy a hand sanitizer, which is essential for travelling, from Australian cosmetic brand Aesop. It's suppose to be natural and not full of harmful chemicals like other high street brands.

Beautiful plates that I bought, back ground is my Liberty table cloth!

Aesop Hand Sanitizer, amazing for travelling or in the office.

I couldn't help taking a picture of their anniversary shopping bag which has super cute illustrations.

Shopping bag, how cute!

Happy shopping in Paris...

Diamonds and vintage Rolex

Bling bling shopping in London...

London offers many neighbourhoods with specialty shops. One of them is Burlington Arcades.

It's an historic arcade from 1819 and one of the first of it's kind in London. The shops there have traded vintage jewellery and Rolex watches for many generations, and walking through gives you the feeling of being back in time.

At the end of the arcade towards Piccadilly, it starts from Bond Street, you can end your shopping with a tasty French macaroon at Laduree! Not a bad way to end your shopping for diamonds or a vintage rolex!

You can also get a proper old fashion shoe shine if you like...

It's a treat for the eye and not your wallet, unless it's a true investment, should you want to buy some bling bling...

On top of being a perfect mum, she also has a great style. I still go deep in her closet and dig out fashion iconic items such as vintage Gucci belts, Fendi scarves or Fox fur coats!

My COS Fall 12 Collection

The Scandinavian brand COS is ready with new cool Fall items...

It's Scandinavian and good quality, so what is there not to like, also when you are Danish! It's also affordable, classic and clean design, that can be styled with almost anything!

I stopped by their shop to pick up their COS magazine, which I always pick up and highly recommend to read. It has great interviews and portrays of cool creative Scandinavians wearing COS clothes! It's great inspiration and a good way to find new fantastic Scandinavian people! As I strolled through the shop on High Street Kensington in London, I found a few items.

The T Shirt is in a great Peachy coloured mélange which will look great with skinny jeans, skirts and a suit jacket or blazer in Black, White, or Grey

I also got two pairs of socks! They are so cool! One pair is metallic and the other one is in a fine nylon, both perfect for ballerina shoes or wedges!

I also got one of the Danish brand HAY's hand made note books, which will be perfect for my next Paris Fabric fair for work! Left side is the COS magazine...

Last, I picked up new fine Grey elastic hair bands, they are good quality and don't have a metal piece that catches your hair! Plus I have never seen this nice Grey colour before in hair bands!

I thought I was happy getting the COS magazine, but now I'm even more happy leaving the shop with my new finds!

COS has great accessories among their collection, go find them now, I'm sure there are a few things, that you can't leave the shop with out!

Enjoy,
