Summer is here and I'm wearing my silver braided sandals from Carven. I got them at Liberty and they were really a bargain.

What is better than feeling the fresh air between your toes. I'm loving the summer so far..

Tuscany hills holiday weekend

Our friends invited us to their amazing beautiful wedding in the hills of Tuscany. We took advantage of the invite and added a few more days and made it a small child free long holiday weekend.

My wardrobe was split between my sparkly party clothes and high heels and comfortable relaxing holiday pieces.

I made a small selection of the relaxing pieces that I loved the most...

 

Starting from the left, lime green coloured kaftan from Scoop, silver grey bathing suit from danish designer Camilla Staerk both bought when I lived in NYC.

Next from the top is my IPad cover and next to that my makeup bag both from Vanessa Bruno. My new silver braided sandals from Liberty and to the right my grey fold up Mulberry clutch. Last in the bottom right corner is a loose fitted jersey dress from Tu..

Overall this gave me a perfect day by the pool and a dinner out eating amazing Italian food.

Karl Lagerfeld vintage dress

Summer is here in London and what's better than celebrating it by wearing my sleeveless printed pleated summer dress from Karl Lagerfeld. It's an old show piece that I bought from a model in New York years ago at a fleamarket at the Soho Grand hotel. I love the print and fit is very comfortable. I wore it with my flat black ballerinas and my canvas tote bag from Vanessa Bruno.

Summer reading 2014

It's time for the beach and spending more time in the garden or the park. Having a toddler doesn't allow you much time to read in the house but for some reason it's ok when we are out doors.

I filtered through my book shelf and pulled these books out which I'm thinking reading again. Some of them are from the time I lived in New York and some are British purchased in London.

It's an ambitious long list but hope to get some nice memoirs from living abroad and then hopefully next time I'm in Copenhagen I will stock up on my Danish books.

Zara pastel colour block shirt

I love mixing hight street brands with designer brands. This week I wore my Zara pastel colour block shirt in 100% silk, which I think is a great buy, and I have worn this many times.

I wore it with my light pink Acne jeans and L.K. Bennett suede pumps and got lots of compliments.

I'm hoping for warmer weather here in London soon, summer is almost here here and I want to get my skirts and sandals out...

Colour blocking is still a trend so dont be afraid to wear it, it's fun and looks great.
