Shop organic...
Whole Foods is the world's leader of natural and organic food. We are so lucky to have them in London. Products from them are amazing, try the natural Coconut Milk Yoghurt, it melts in your mouth!
Part of the take away deli food on the ground floor. It's popular to fill up a container with lunch goodies and go and enjoy it in Kensington Gardens which is only a 5 min. walk away.
Part of the massive cheese selection and special temperature cheese room. Try the good tasters and smell!
Down stairs offer any product that you can imagine. It also includes a beauty and health department. Bring your shopping cart with you in the special escalator for carts! It's the one to the right in the picture below. So American and fun!
The chocolate area down stairs!
It's not cheap to shop at Whole Foods and you always leave the shop with one extra bag, so prepare yourself! If you plan to do more shopping in the area afterwards, then think twice and let Whole Foods be your last stop! I can assure you that it is that good!
They also have a brilliant upstairs food hall, Sushi bar and much more for hungry minds. Just follow the stairs or lift up to the first floor.
It truly is an experience to treat your self there, our favourite location is in Kensington. They have a great selection of world wide products. Even "Skyr" (the newest yoghurt in Denmark but is produced in Iceland!) and products from the Danish brand called "Urtekram". It helps me, when I'm a bit home sick, besides I get other Danish products like "Lurpak" butter and Havarti cheese from Waitrose, ha ha! I can also suggest to sign up for their email coupons on their website this can help you save some money! Bring your own shopping bags, they give you credit!
I always encourage people to shop at Whole Foods, when they come to visit us in London, to me it's a must to try at least once! There are not many shops like this in London. New York has more competition such as Gourmet Garage and Zabar's on the Upper West Side.
Some people still argue that eating only organic foods would not save our planet, but I say that we can at least try! Farmer and rural business adviser Tim Dart recently said that supplying the world's requirement of food through organically grown products is simply impossible. We wouldn't grow enough which is caused by extreme weather events such as droughts and floods. Cathrine Fookes says, that we can only protect the planet by eating organic. She is a campaign manager for Why I love Organic. (article from House and Garden, July issue, page 40)
Why not live as healthy and long as possible, life is too short not to!
Enjoy!
