People behind the brands

Who makes it all happen...

We all know big designer brands, but we never get to meet the hard working people behind them! So I decided to portrait as many, as I can from my network. The first one I would like to introduce is the lovely Morgain Wade.

Morgaine is head of buying of all Ready to Wear raw materials (fabric and trims!) for the British fashion brand called Reiss across both Men's and Women's Wear. She over sees a team of 5 people at the moment which will continue to grow. She travels to Milan and Paris twice a year, to the big trend fabric fairs. Here she gets the latest raw material trends and developments within the fashion industry for the next season ahead, spring or fall. Together with the design teams, she plans a head, as to what we will be wearing from Reiss next season!

The interview started with me taking her picture. This is always the hardest thing to ask people, when you are not a famous photographer! After taking her picture (I like it!), we went inside the pub and got our first drink. It always makes you relax a bit with a drink, plus this is the British way of hanging out, drinking in a pub, it's great and fun. Well not always the day after! I asked her my 11 questions which are short and sweet:

1. Where do you work?
-Reiss London

2. What do you do?
-Head of fabric and trims department

3. What do you love to wear?
-Dresses, heals and red lipstick from Mac. My classic Burberry trench coat when it rains!

4. What is your favourite shop?

5. What is you worst travel memory?

7. What would you like to be remembered for?

10. Will you always work in fashion?
